The belief in the Finality of Prophethood is the very foundation of Islam, based on the commands and teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith. Denying this belief is a blatant rebellion against the Prophethood of Muhammad ï·º. In reality, rejection of the Finality of Prophethood is nothing short of rejecting the very Prophethood of the Holy Prophet ï·º. And if we consider Qadianism in this light, it becomes evident that it represents one of the worst forms of disbelief—because Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, in rebelling against the Prophethood of Muhammad ï·º, falsely declared himself a prophet.
Qadianism is not a religion. It has no connection to Islam, and it has no independent message of its own. The moment Mirza Ghulam Ahmad falsely claimed prophethood, his bond with Islam, the Qur’an, and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ï·º was severed. Whatever remained after that was nothing but betrayal and treason against Islam.
Islam itself is defined by its association with the Prophet ï·º. So when Qadianism broke this sacred bond, it was reduced to nothing but disbelief. That’s all Qadianism really is.
But if Qadianism is not a religion, then what is it? The answer: it is a deep-rooted conspiracy against Islam, created and fueled by the British Empire when they ruled over India. Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani introduced his bizarre new "religion" in these very words:
“My religion, which I repeatedly proclaim, is that Islam consists of two parts: one is obedience to God Almighty, and the second is obedience to the government that has established peace and protected us from oppressors. That government is the British Government.”
Mirza’s son, Mirza Bashiruddin, proudly echoed his father’s loyalty to the British:
“The Promised Messiah has proudly written that there is no book of his in which he has not supported the government. But I am saddened to hear some Ahmadis say that they feel ashamed when reading such writings of the Promised Messiah.”
(Al-Fazl Newspaper – 7 July 1932)
It is clear: Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani flattered and praised the British Government to such an extent—and published writings so full of sycophancy—that even his followers were left embarrassed. His own son laments this reality—that Ahmadis are ashamed to read his writings in support of the British Empire.
In 1897, during Queen Victoria’s Jubilee, Mirza Qadiani authored a booklet titled Tohfa-e-Qaisariyyah (“A Gift for the Empress”) and sent it to her. In it, he wrote:
“O Exalted Queen, it is your goodwill that attracts the mercy of the heavens toward the earth. There has never been a better age for the appearance of the Messiah than your glorious reign. That is why, in your radiant era, God sent a light from the heavens—for light is drawn to light.”
Let’s reflect. The British era in India was a time of misery and slavery for Muslims and other native communities. It was a cursed age, full of humiliation, as foreign rulers dominated our lands. And here is this man—Mirza Qadiani—describing this very era of disgrace as a “radiant” time! Such delusional praise could only come from a false claimant to prophethood, who had no connection to the pain and dignity of the Muslim nation.
Indeed, only a Dajjal and a liar like Mirza Qadiani could be born in such a dark age. The door of prophethood was closed forever after our beloved Prophet Muhammad ï·º. Anyone who claims prophethood after him is, by definition, a false prophet, a deceiver, and a fraud.
In a petition addressed to a British lieutenant governor, Mirza Qadiani exposed his true colors. He begged for favor by declaring:
“Please deal with this self-planted sapling with caution and attention... and kindly instruct your subordinate officers to view me and my community with favor and generosity, taking into account the proven loyalty and sincerity of our family. We have never hesitated to shed blood or lay down our lives in service of the British Government.”
Yes, you read that right. Mirza openly called himself a "self-planted tree" of the British Empire and begged for privileges in return for his family’s loyal service. No true prophet would ever speak like this. Only a false prophet would boast of his family’s blood sacrifices not for Islam, but for a colonial power.
During the 1857 War of Independence, Mirza Qadiani’s father provided 50 horses and 50 armed riders to the British to crush the Muslim freedom fighters. His family actively aided the British in destroying Muslim resistance. This was nothing less than betrayal—a clear act of treason against the Muslim Ummah. Yet Mirza shamelessly called it his family’s "sacrifice" for the British cause.
After falsely declaring prophethood, Mirza—under British orders—abolished the concept of Jihad. And declaring Jihad to be unlawful is in itself an act of disbelief. In Islam, Jihad remains a divine command until the Day of Judgment.
The Prophet Muhammad ï·º said:
“This religion will remain established, and a group from among the Muslims will continue to fight (in Jihad) until the Day of Judgment.”
The Qur’an commands Jihad in numerous verses, and nowhere does it suggest that it will ever be prohibited in a specific time or place. Mirza Qadiani, by declaring Jihad forbidden to please the British, exposed his falsehood and his rejection of the Qur’an and Hadith.
Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani was not secretly, but openly and proudly, a servant and loyalist of the British Empire. His teachings encouraged Muslims to be loyal to the colonizers. Therefore, his false claim of prophethood was not just a lie—it was a disaster and curse upon the Muslim nation.
If Mirza and his followers were merely non-Muslims, like Hindus, Sikhs, or Christians, it might not have been as painful. But the real tragedy lies in the fact that he falsely claimed prophethood only to serve British imperialism. He spent his entire life siding with the enemies of Islam and opposing the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ï·º, just to win the favor of a foreign empire.
